dilateworld is celebrating the many new artists of film, theater and new media who dare to use their work to "think outside of the box". Over three nights in downtown Manhattan, we will present the First Annual dilateworld Multimedia Fest, an event designed to showcase those artists who are actively disspelling stereotypes about women, people of color and gays and lesbians through their chosen creative medium. Q & A with all presenting artists will follow each night’s event, with an opportunity afterwards to meet, greet, drink, dance and collaborate!


Thursday, July 25th – Digital Art Excursion
8 pm

A walk-through exhibit of mind altering visual art by national and internationalgraphic artists, photographers and traditional visual artists.

Featuring: "Coping With Paradise", an interactive digital illustration series by L.A. artist, Felipe Lara.

Friday, July 26th – Short Films Salon
8 pm

A night of compelling short films and short documentaries, many of them making their New York City debut.

Films by Dina Fiasconaro, exiththeappleproductions, Susanne Oberbeck, Ambika Samarthya , "Estilo Hip-Hop" by documentarian Vee Bravo, and "Life on Christopher Street" by director Maria Clara and 77 Films and more!

Saturday, July 27th – Short Play Readings
8 pm


Featuring the artists of Rising Circle, the closing night consists of daring new plays with a diverse cast of rising talent.

Plays by Jeremy Cohen, Catherine Filloux, Elizabeth Emmons, Marta Effinger and more!

*Guest DJ to be announced
*$5 at the door

We welcome submisisons for the following:

*Short films (10 minutes or under)
*Digital Art (computer generated art installations or films)
*Short plays (30 mins. or under)
